To get to Paglesham from most starting points you first need to find Rochford, a small town about five miles north east from Southend-on-Sea in Essex. To get to Rochford from London or anywhere on the M25 take the A127 to Southend-on-Sea then as you approach Southend turn left, following signs to the Airport. Having passed the airport, follow signs to Rochford.

From Rochford, take the road signposted to Stambridge, continue straight through this village then follow signs to Paglesham. As you approach Paglesham the road forks to Paglesham East End or Paglesham Church End. Take Paglesham East End and continue as far as you can go on tarmac, the lane terminates at a pub, the Plough and Sail. Take the unmade track to the left of the pub and follow this down to the boatyard. The boatyard has a carpark for its customers, which includes the HSC.  When HSC members meet to go sailing they usually rendezvous in the boatyard somewhere near the top of the hard.

If you are road trailing your own boat, you can launch it down the hard at Paglesham, paying a fee to the boatyard office which is on your right as you approach the water through the boatyard. It is a gently sloping slipway and for most road trailable boats it is useable at all but very low tide. At low spring tide with a heavy boat you may perhaps have to wait half an hour for the tide to come in.

The HSC occasionally hires the Paglesham village hall (St Peter's Hall) for social events. This hall is a corrugated iron clad buiding on your right as you drive through Paglesham towards the Plough and Sail.

To get to Paglesham by Public Transport there are frequent trains from London Liverpool Street to Rochford and then a very occasional bus service to Paglesham. If you are traveling to Paglesham to meet up with other HSC members it is usually possible to arrange a lift either from London or from the station at Rochford.
