Hostels visited by the HSC
Here is a list of most of the hostels visited by our club over about the past ten years, with the year(s) of our visits.
Wetherdown hostel is run by the charity Earthworks Trust but all the others listed here are, or were, YHA hostels. The pictures were all taken by HSC members, except for the one of Conwy YHA which is from the YHA website, I dont think they would mind.
It is sad to see that quite a few of the hostels we have visited even over just this recent period are now closed. Having said that, the relatively few new hostels that have been recently added to the network do offer excellent facilities, for example Lee Valley and Southdowns in the list below.
